Cleaning
the glass on your gas and wood fireplace with our approved glass cleaner
from Rutland periodically will prevent a build up of combustion particles from setting on
the glass. These particles bake on the glass and cause a film, which if
left too long, becomes almost impossible to remove and you are not able
to enjoy your picturous gas flame or bright shining wood fire.
If your stove or fireplace is equipped with a blower fan it is
recommended to clean the fan at least annually right after the heating
season. Removing dust particles will prevent the blower from earlier as
usual brake down.
And here an ENERGY TIP!! If you shut off the pilot light in your gas
appliance for the summer months, you save money on your gas bill. The
heat that your pilot light generates will be eliminated, keeping your
house cooler. This means your air conditioner won't have to work as hard
and you save more money on your hydro bill. |
